Andrew Ferguson
Creator of Dial-a-Podcast
Andrew is an engineer and developer who created Dial-a-Podcast from his home during the worldwide shutdown in 2020 as a way to help his church family continue to reach their elderly congregation. Since then, Dial-a-Podcast has expanded and brought on many other church families and podcast creators who are looking for better ways to serve their extended audiences that may not have access to or knowledge of how to work a podcast app.
Born and raised in Seattle, Andrew ventured out-of-state to graduate from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO, majoring in engineering and specializing in electrical systems, with a focus on sensing, communications, and control systems. Since 2006, he has worked for a large aerospace corporation as a successful engineer who has developed, implemented, and overseen multiple programs, systems, and solutions.
A self-proclaimed nerd, Andrew has enjoyed being active in the digital world for most of his life, and has continually built and hosted websites as his own personal passion projects. Dial‑a‑Podcast was his foray into software development, and Andrew has plans to continue its growth to allow more people to enjoy its benefits.
Away from work, Andrew enjoys listening to public radio (including podcasts!) and classic music (60s-90s era), is a recovering Trekkie (ask him what he’s watched from the franchise!), and hates text messaging. He’s happily married and living in the Pacific Northwest with two kids and a dog.
